After successfully completing his high school diploma in 1974 and then completing compulsory military service, Ulrich Kraft began a two-year apprenticeship and qualified as a painter and varnisher. But his passion for business and management ultimately led him to the University of Mannheim, where he earned a degree in business administration in 1980. He continued his academic career by working as a university assistant at the Institute for Marketing at the University of Mannheim, learning from renowned professors. After this phase, a new stage in his professional career began.

He became a management and sales trainer and coach at Gustav Käser AG in Zurich, where he further deepened his knowledge and skills. In July 1985, Ulrich Kraft finally took over his parents' business in Ludwigsburg and built up the ARTA Group, which grew to over 500 employees by June 30, 2021. Today, Ulli regrets that music was neglected in the middle phase of his life due to starting a family and setting up the ARTA group. But it's never too late.

After 37 years as an entrepreneur, Kraft took a new step in July 2021. He gradually began to build Ulli's music and Ulli's talents, in which his passions for music and talents should find a new expression. As the managing director and owner of a major company, Ulrich Kraft not only brought color to houses, but also opened doors and moved walls. “When the words stop, the music begins,” he quotes Heinrich Heine, emphasizing the transition to his musical passion. Ulrich Kraft, now working in the field of music, lets the brush of the past rest and now sets the tone with guitar and voice. He unleashed the “POWER of music”. Since he began collecting proverbs and quotes when he was 15, initially in a card index box and later digitally, he can draw on a huge pool of life wisdom, which he combines with his music. In short, he has tracked down modern pieces of music that contain such wisdom, from the areas of pop, rock, country, folk and chansons. He covers these pieces, generates potpourris from them, and inserts his own compositions. The overall work of art is rounded off with high-quality video presentations and recitations from world literature.

Ulli offers short concert programs (duration 20-40 minutes) for a demanding audience. If desired, he rounds off his events with well-maintained background music for all age groups, with a focus on the 40 plus age group. Total duration of the events from 1 to 4 hours. This means that the organizer does not need an additional solo entertainer; Ulli also masters this profession, but insists on his small individual program. For the latter, various programs are planned in the following years from which the customer can choose like from a menu. For the 2024 tour he is offering the program “NOW or Never”, with the subtitle “Music that makes you wiser.” “And maybe you’ll leave a little happier than when you came, who knows?” That's what it says in one of his event announcements.
